Your Neighborhood Cat Concierge

Your cat stays home.
We come to the island.

Peter and Katie look after cats in eight neighborhoods around Newport Harbor — and nowhere else. Same two people, every visit, for as long as you're away.

Our care is unmatched

A two-person business, on purpose

Balboa Island Cat Sitting is a locally-owned small business offering concierge cat sitting and home care. Unlike the larger pet-sitting outfits in the area, it's led by me (Peter) and my wife (Katie) — so your cat is meticulously cared for by the same trusted person every time you're away.

We live on Bayside Drive. Every house we sit is a few minutes from our own, which is the only reason we can promise what we promise: no contractors, no rotating roster, no stranger letting themselves in on day four. Just the two of us, and a map small enough to keep that true.

  • 2 sitters, ever — Peter and Katie
  • 8 neighborhoods, and no others
  • 7–9 the hours we visit, every day of the year
  • 0 dogs — it's in the name

Where we go

A deliberately small map

Eight neighborhoods around the harbor. If you're inside this chart, we're minutes from your door — and that's exactly why the same two people can cover every visit.

We love our job

Your cat is family.

Cats are creatures of comfort and habit. Daily routine is what turns your travel days into ordinary days for them. So we start by asking the only question that matters: what makes your cat happy?

Tell us in the booking form — the food they'll actually eat, the spot they hide when the door opens, the toy that works when nothing else does. Then we do the rest of it too:

  • Special needs
  • Veterinary trips
  • Medication administration
  • Lots of TLC
  • Garbage and recycling
  • Indoor plants
  • Mail and newspapers

How it goes

From first email to keys back

  1. 01

    Say hello

Send the booking form or just call. Tell us your dates, how many cats, and anything unusual. We answer the same day.

  2. 02

    Meet and greet

We come to your house before the first booking — no charge. You show us the food, the boxes, the hiding spots, the alarm code. Your cat decides what it thinks of us.

  3. 03

    While you are away

Visits happen on the schedule we agreed. Photos land the same visit. If anything is off, you hear it from us first.

  4. 04

    Home again

Clean boxes, full bowls, mail on the counter, cans back in the side yard. The only sign we were there is that nothing needs doing.

Going away?

Tell us your dates and we'll come meet your cat before you book anything. The meet-and-greet is free, and it's how we both find out whether this is a fit.
